Hey there!
What were you up to last February 14? Whether you’re blissfully single or happily attached, we hope you celebrated it your way. At Hey Kessy, we decided to hold a pop up event on Saturday, February 11, the weekend before the Day of Hearts! Here’s what went on that day…

We invited artists, makers, and creative people to celebrate Valentine’s Day with us. Present were Cynthia Arre, Kimidori Project, Practical Magical, and Merry Macarons! People were free to explore the shop as live sessions took place all afternoon.

Practical Magical’s Chinggay Labrador read some tarot cards for some lucky shop visitors. (In case you didn’t know, Chinggay’s book Zeke and the Pirates is sold at the After Nine Keeper section of the shop.)

Illustrator Cynthia Arre did amazing live portraits the entire afternoon. At one point, she painted alongside Robert Alejandro—an artist and Hey Kessy original washi tape designer!

Comic book artist Arnold Arre also dropped by the shop to visit his wife Cynthia. Both Arnold’s coloring book and Cynthia’s stickers and postcards (under After Nine Keeper) are available at Hey Kessy!

Another work station introduced Kimidori Project (beautiful notebooks for everyday use) and Hey Kessy’s new product, leather paint! Anyone could make their own leather journal cover—just like this gorgeous example by Mansy Abesamis.

Merry Macarons served cute, V Day-themed macarons as well as delicious donuts that spelled out XOXO!

Aside from the fun happenings inside Hey Kessy, UP Town Center (UPTC) also invited singers to serenade mall goers. How’s that for romantic?
