What crafty pursuits have you been working on lately?
Hey Kessy’s Mansy Abesamis has been busy this August, doing a papercut demonstration at the Alliance Française de Manille and taking part in National Book Store’s I Art You Event at Shangri-La Plaza.
Mansy had a blast participating at the open house of Alliance Française de Manille last August 6. During the FrenchXCrafts event, different French classes were taught through games, movies, and news sharing. Mansy taught three batches of eager students who learned how to introduce themselves and follow Mansy’s instructions on how to design postcards (in French, no less!). At the end of each fun crafting session, Hey Kessy products were given away as prizes.
Before and after stencil samples.
Say hello to the three batches of classes Mansy taught at Alliance Française de Manille!
For National Book Store’s I Art You event, Mansy showcased a papercut stencil made out of a special type of paper or rock powder (FYI: this type of paper is included in the Papercut Diary which is available at the Hey Kessy shop!). The paper used for papercut stencil is actually durable, waterproof, and biodegradable. You can make a beautiful pattern just by using an X-ACTO knife (you can get this from the online shop or at our shop!). To transfer the design, simply use foam and textile paint.
Maya, a willing participant from the audience, came up on stage and tried making her own artwork using the stencil Mansy made.
